post Christmas fun...

We seem to be spending alot of time outdoors! On Boxing Day, we went ice fishing in the Biffert's famous pond - the biggest fish caught (by Tori) was close to six and a half pounds! Then today, we spent some time out at our cabin, getting it ready for the big outdoor picnic we'll be having there tomorrow...

More Tree Hunting!

Annual Christmas Tree Hunt!

Every year, we go out with friends to chop down our Christmas tree, as well as enjoy some sliding fun - this year was better than most - because it was very warm!

We all had so much fun...and of course - some good photo ops!

a bunch of photos!

I need to clean off my desktop - and keep meaning to post some of these shots. So - no story behind any of them...just some from our day to day life - which is way too busy these days! The last two of Brian and I are before his staff party last weekend - Parker did a pretty good job! Sad that we only get a photo of us together once a year - may have to work on that!

Baby it's cold outside...

So, so cold! I believe it's about -24 today with the windchill - so, no sledding for us today. We had fun yesterday though...I swear the boys don't even feel the cold - notice Brian is absent in these shots - as he was sitting in the van with the heater on!

I'm so excited...have to share!

There's an online website that holds a monthly photograhy contest. I've been a member for quite awhile, and frequently upload my photos, and enter the contest. The site has members from all over the world...so there's some pretty amazing work there. The theme for October was connections...and it just so happenned that I'd had a fantastic shoot with two of the most adorable sisters ever, and thought I had a good photo to put into this category. I can't quite describe how excited I was when I got the email saying I was a finalist...out of 38700 entries (this is for all thems together...of course!). And then...my friend Shannon - who's also addicted to photograhy - called to tell me I'd gotten a second place...SWEET! So...I'm attaching the email they sent me that they suggest I send to the local newspaper, as well as the photo...

fall or winter?

We spent an afternoon at our cabin yesterday - got some fall"ish" looking photos, but also managed to get in a snowball fight, and some gt racing down the driveway - in the snow!

A Big Hike!!!

My other photography crazed friend and I decided today would be a great day to hike up the backside of a mountain for some photos of our boys! They got there way ahead of us...but we had a great time, and the view was amazing!!

Lest We Forget...

We took the boys to the Remembrance Day ceremonies yesterday. It's always such a humbling experience - as a mother, I can't imagine ever having to send one of my boys off to war. Thanks so much to those who did...for our freedom.

the swimmers!

Parker & Keats had their first meet of the year today...both did really well! Keaton amazed us with his flip turns during the 100m breaststroke - we'd never seen him do flip turns before. Shame though, that flip turns aren't allowed in breaststroke, and he was disqualified! Next time...

Trick or Treat!

Here they are in all their glory!

Parker, my amazingly nerdy boy, Keaton...or is that Bond...James Bond? and, Griffin, our little policeman (which is what he insists he's going to be when he grows up!)

Happy Halloween!

Hanging out with strep...

Griff's been sick this week, hasn't made it to school yet. On tuesday, after being housebound for three days, we had to get out for some fresh air, so we went for a walk with my mom, and my friend Shannon. Of course, Shannon and I never walk without our cameras...so, I managed to get a few shots of Griff...he's finally feeling better, and will be back at school tomorrow!
